Edition reMusik.org is pleased to announce the release of a new work by Piyawat Louilarpprasert — a young generation Thai composer based in New York, and the winner of the 3rd International Sergei Slonimsky Composition Competition wich was held in the frame of the 5th St. Petersburg International New Music Festival “reMusik.org” in Russia.

Breathing Machine (2018)
for flute, alto saxophone, violoncello and piano

The main idea of the piece came from the “Atem” (breathing sound). This material constructs a very dry and quiet sound (similar as air/ breathing sound). It creates a soft and airy atmospheric texture, then, the sound is getting more dense, the texture turns to the machine-like with the rhythmic repetition.
