The Claussen Simon Foundation is organising a competition for young composers in cooperation with the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra for the second time.
Score follower announces Follow My Score 2021. Submission is free and each composer may submit up to three works.
Within a one-week master course, the course will focus on re-hearsing this work with Ensemble Modern under the baton of Bas Wiegers and IEMA fellow Xizi Wang.
A jury consisting of composers, musicians and experts will nominate 4-5 composers.
Roadrunner loves exploring folk music, improvise, and arrange existing music, and these elements distinguish us from other contemporary ensembles.
The orchestral composition competition will take place in the following years. Young composers from all over the world are urged to submit their newly created works during their preferred competition year (may enter multiple years).
The teaching activities will conclude with a concert scheduled November 23rd and 24th at Teatro Arsenale in Milan for Sound of Wander 2022; compositions by Francesca Verunelli and James Tenney will be on the program.
The competition will produce new and interesting solo organ works and concertos for organ and symphony orchestra and promote cooperation among organists, composers, and orchestras.
