Andreas Kameris

Andreas Kameris was born in Nicosia in 1974. From an early age, he developed a deep passion for music and began experimenting with composition. In 1994, he entered the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory, where he studied composition under the renowned Professor Boris Tishchenko. He graduated in 2001 and went on to complete a postgraduate program at the same institution in 2005. In 2007, he successfully defended his Ph.D. in music.

Kameris’s work spans compositions for symphony orchestra, choir, chamber ensembles, and solo instruments. His music has been performed at international festivals in Russia, Belarus, and across Europe.

Since 2007, he has been a research fellow at the Educational and Methodological Laboratory “Musical Computer Technologies” and a lecturer at the A.I. Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University. He also teaches at the ARTE Music Academy in Nicosia. Andreas Kameris is a member of the Union of Composers of Cyprus.
