Respected Colleagues,

Many thanks to all for participating in the International Competition in Saint-Petersburg. I await from you, with great interest, individually bright, bold, pioneerin, musically rich and complex new creative works of instrumental chamber music, which may enrich the multifaceted, diverse styles of music of the 21st century. A new era recently began, and it seems to me there may appear a new renaissance; of world culture in general and music in particular. In anticipation of new roads to musical art, the discovery of new shores in the ocean of music, I welcome the young generations of composers, which undoubtedly will usher in many new, fresh, expressive and interesting ideas & emotion to the world of musical art.

— Sergei Slonimsky
