Dr. Kris Carlisle and Dr. Rachel Chung – Carlisle/Chung Duo – are soliciting submissions of new piano duo pieces for performance and possible recording. While the preference is for works composed in the last 10 years, exceptions can be made. Both performers have extensive interest in and experience with contemporary music. Kris’ work – The American Evolution – is a collection of albums and performances that look at the ways contemporary American composers use traditional genres of composition. Rachel’s CDs all feature the works of women composers with the recent award-winning album – My Cherished Garden – featuring works of contemporary American women composers.
