This call includes 2 categories :
1) One piece -for string quartet, 15-17’ max – will be recorded by the Lontano Quartet, and will be part of its new album (coming in 2022) supported by swiss label Gallo-Cascavelle :

This album will consist of an anthology of new pieces, including 4 works created in Les Musicales d’Assy Festival in the past years. The chosen composition will be performed in Les Musicales d’Assy Festival in August 2022, and then recorded in studio conditions, in Paris.
Included :
– A recording session with Lontano Quartet in studio conditions
– A commercial release of the album with worldwide digital production
– A performance by the Lontano Quartet in Les Musicales d’Assy Festival 2022, Haute-Savoie (France)
– And possibly : a participation in a conference about new music in Les Musicales d’Assy Festival 2022
2) Two other chosen scores will be played in Les Musicales d’Assy Festival (August 2022).
– A performance by the Lontano Quartet in Les Musicales d’Assy Festival 2022 (with live recording)
– And possibly : a participation in a conference about new music in Les Musicales d’Assy Festival 2022

Jury:
Every application will be examined by the Lontano Quartet.

String quartet, without electronics or any sound system

15 to 17 minutes max
