Operation Opera Festival

Operation Opera is an innovative 7-day festival/institute presenting high-caliber performances of contemporary chamber operas and art songs. Three operas composed for chamber ensembles, and up to ten composers who will create art songs/song cycles with paired singers will be selected through an international call. Together with singers and 4CE musicians, invited composers will participate in a variety of career-enhancing activities at Gonzaga University (Spokane, WA), including composition seminars, lessons and lectures by festival faculty, interactive rehearsals with singers and 4CE musicians, and a final concert-setting performance between June 8th-12th.

Professional recordings of the performances will be made available for composer participants.
