New Music Milwaukee: PEAK – Call for Fixed Electronic Media

PEAK is an electronic and experimental music concert and is looking for fixed media works. PEAK is part of New Music MKE, a new performing arts series run by the Music Composition and Technology program at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

The call is for fixed media works in the following categories:

• Octophonic Playback (8-ch) (Ring configuration)
• Quadrophonic Playback (4-ch)
• Stereo Playback (2-ch)
• Video with Octophonic Audio (8-ch)
• Video with quadrophonic Audio (4-ch)
• Video with Stereo Audio (2-ch)

This call is open to all composers and sound artists regardless of age, gender, or nationality. Composers and sound artist belonging to disadvantaged or underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

Preference will be given to works that are 8-channels, with runtimes less than ten (10) minutes in duration: Works that do not meet these preferences will still be considered.

The concert will take place on Dec 1st, 2022, 7:30pm in Milwaukee WI at the University’s off-campus on the 5th floor of Kenilworth:1915 E Kenilworth Pl, Milwaukee, WI 53202.

Selected applicants are not required to attend the concert.

Submission Guidelines

• Each applicant may submit up to two (2) works.
• Submissions must include name and contact information
• Submissions must include bio 150 words max
• Submissions must include Work information including title, duration.
• Submission must include link to media in a compressed format (mp3 mp4 etc), Lossless formats will be requested if the work is programed.
