klingt gut! is an interdisciplinary event at the intersection of art and technology.
KLG 2023 will have a special focus on sonic arts, sound design, electro-acoustic music, spatial audio and extended / digital realities.
We invite proposals for scientific and artistic works for inclusion in the 2023 edition of klingt gut. We are looking for papers, audio or audio-visual works, installations, performances.
(1) Categories for scientific proposals are paper, poster or performative lecture (paper with live performance / demo). All proposals must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. All proposals must include abstract, and précis with bibliography / references.
(2) Categories for artistic proposals are fixed media (audio or audio-visual/video work), XR (VR, AR, MR), installation (permanent or temporary), or performance. We encourage (but not request) the submission of original works that have not been staged at other conferences. All proposals must include a work description, work samples / documentation and detailed technical requirements.
Accepted artists and authors are requested to present their work at the symposium in person.
Please note that the cost of attendance/performance at klingt gut KLG 2023 must be covered by the participants themselves. KLG 2023 has no funding to cover artist fees, travel, or accommodation. Letters of invitation can be supplied on request if participants wish to source their own funding. However, accepted authors and artists will get free attendance.
As klingt gut! is an international event, conference language is English. We kindly request to submit all material in English.
Deadline for submission with title, abstract and précis / work description / work samples and technical requirements is 28 February 2023. Notifications of acceptance will be sent in March 2023.
