Ensemble Ipse seeks proposals for new work for our “Siteworks” series to be premiered online in June 2021.
Ensemble Ipse seeks proposals from artists working in time-based or interactive non-linear media to create a new work for the next installment of our Site Works series, “Sites Reconsidered.” The proposed works should deal with the nature of a “site” (broadly defined), and how sites can be interpreted during times of isolation. The proposed work should be of long duration, lasting at least an hour, or, in the case of non-linear works, be able to engage the participant for at least that amount of time. Open-ended pieces that can go on indefinitely are especially welcome. The final work should be suitable for display on a website. Pieces may be in any media (video, sound, websites, web-based computer applications, etc.), but must contain a prominent and essential sonic component.
One artist will be chosen for this call.
The chosen artist will receive a $1,000 honorarium for creating the project.
