Anatoly Korolyov was born in Leningrad (1949). Studied at the Special Music School and the Faculty of conducting of the Leningrad Conservatoire. Began composing music in his student years. After graduating from Professor Vladimir Tsytovich’s class of composition at the Leningrad Conservatoire, continued post-graduate studies under Boris Arapov. Member of the Composer’s Union since 1978. Now he is a professor of instrumentation and an artistic director of electronic music studio at the St. Petersburg Conservatoire, Honoured Artist of Russia.
Korolyov is the author of numerous symphonic and chamber music, electronic compositions. The compositions of Anatoly Korolyov have been performed in many cities of Russia, as well as in different countries of Europe, the USA, Japan, Australia, Southern America; they have been broadcast in some European countries.
