About the Bowery Trio:
The Bowery Trio’s mission is to promote lesser known works by composers of all races, ethnicities, and gender identities, as well as make music accessible to all. Through this mission, we hope to cultivate a love for both classical and new music in our audiences. Formed in 2019, The Bowery Trio includes three of New York City’s up and coming chamber musicians: Mark Allen Jr. (clarinet), Esther Seitz (cello), and Allison Wang (piano). Between them, the Bowery Trio members are laureates of the Paris International Music Competition, the Cremona International Music Academy competition, and the American Protege competition. Equally at home in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Mexico, their individual musical endeavors have taken them to concert halls around the world, performing in venues such as Giovanni Arvedi Auditorium, Wenshui Arts and Cultural Center, Kauffman Center for Performing Arts, the Teatro de la Reforma, and Carnegie Hall. The Bowery Trio has also recently been awarded a Chamber Music America Ensemble Forward Grant for the 2021 season. This grant is made possible with generous support from the New York Community Trust.
