ICEBERG New Music 2021-22 Call for Scores

ICEBERG’s 2021-22 call for scores is now open!
Submissions are due by December 31, 2021.

OVERVIEW
Composers of any age or nationality are invited to submit scores for one or both of ICEBERG’s upcoming concerts featuring Decoda Ensemble (https://www.decodamusic.org). Up to four winning composers (at least one for each concert) will be selected to have their works performed as part of Spring 2022 season at Tenri Cultural Institute in New York City. There are no restrictions on the works submitted – pieces may have been previously performed, recorded, and/or awarded. In keeping with ICEBERG’s mission of promoting stylistic diversity, composers are encouraged to submit their music regardless of compositional style – anything from pop songs to works of new complexity are welcome, and will be considered equally.

The name of ICEBERG and Decoda’s Spring 2022 concerts is “The Peace Chronicles.” All submitted scores should reflect, in some way, the general theme of “peace.”
The winning work(s) for Concert No. 1 will be performed on April 1, 2022. The winning work(s) for Concert No. 2 will be performed on May 13, 2022. These performances will take place at Tenri Cultural Institute in New York City.
