Accepting new applicants on a rolling basis. Participating artists in this program will be oered studio space and a private room for a reduced $250 a week. During this time each resident will be fully independent, yet co-exist in shared space.
ARRIVAL
Public transportation is available through the Albany international airport or Albany/Rensselaer train station. We are happy to schedule a pickup and drop off from either location. Upon arrival you will be given a tour of the facilities by an ALN affiliate, a run through of the protocols of the facilities and covid guidelines.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodations are in one of two buildings: the House on the Hill, and the Twins (apartments). The House has seven private rooms that share three baths. The Twins have two apartments, a two bed, one bath and a three bed, one bath. Both housing options have shared kitchen and common areas.
Weekly grocery shopping runs for those without a car will be organized by the onsite ALN affiliate.
STUDIO
A variety of studio spaces are available, including socially distanced areas in both large and smaller rooms. We’ll help you choose one that best suits your practice.
EXPECTATION
You will keep up the maintenance of the spaces you use, both during your stay and upon departure.
You will treat others and our facilities with care and consideration.
You will be mindful of others’ spaces and leave shared spaces clean and inviting for others to use.
SUPPORT
There will be ALN affiliates around and we are always happy to engage and help out. Please know that during this time, we are low in numbers and we are also taking these months to recalibrate our operations and programs toward a future ALN. We will be around to check in on how things are going, and talk about any adjustments that need to be made as we are navigating these new waters together.
