Up to two composers will be chosen for this call.
The chosen composers will each receive a $1,000 honorarium for composing their new work.
To apply, please submit a project proposal, biography, artist statement, and 2 or 3 audio/video work samples. If selected, the score and parts for the new work will need to be delivered by March 15th, 2021.
ELIGIBILITY:
-All composers arts are eligible regardless of age, sex, color, creed, sexual orientation, nationality, marital status, disability, or veteran status.
-Ensemble Ipse gives preference to artists in the beginning stages of their career (although not-age specific).
-Proposed pieces must be composed for the full instrumentation of seven violas, and not subsets.
-Proposed pieces may be of any length with a suggested maximum of 20 minutes.

DEADLINE:
All submissions must be received by December 1st, 2021. The selected composer(s) will be notified by January 1st, 2022. Score and parts must be delivered by March 15th, 2022.
