The next edition of the Black Pencil Prize 2021 will take place between 01 and 05 December 2021, Orgelpark Amsterdam during the Prix Annelie de Man.

RULES
The Black Pencil Prize will be awarded to a new composition written for the instrumentation of the Ensemble Black Pencil: recorder, panflute, viola, accordion, percussion.
The use of amplification, (live) electronics, video and/or theatrical elements is allowed.
Composers of all ages and nationalities are invited to participate.
The duration should not exceed 10 minutes.
There is no application fee.
PRIZES
-EUR. 1.500
-A professional studio recording of the winning composition
-Performance of the piece during a selection of concerts of Black Pencil
-Additional prizes will be considered
