The Festival will take place from May 21 to June 2. It offers a detailed panorama of contemporary classical music which presents electro-acoustic, electronic music, multimedia projects, and a variety of free improvisations.
This creative composing lab is an exciting opportunity for young and emerging composers from around the world. Several participants will be selected on a competitive basis.
On 14 May 2021, within the framework of the International Music Festival “Contemporary West & East,” a concert will present works by György Ligeti, Georgy Firtich, Mehdi Hosseini, and Tōru Takemitsu.
Six composers will аward scholarships to participate in the Composition Course reMusik.org. The project is supported by the French Institute in Saint Petersburg and will be held in the framework of the 8th St. Petersburg International New Music Festival.
The Eleventh International Young Composers Academy in Tchaikovsky city will be held from 30th August to 14th September 2021 in Tchaikovsky-city.
Oscar Bianchi (Switzerland), Pierluigi Billone (Italy), Raphaël Cendo (France), Klaus Lang (Austria), Sarah Nemtsov (Germany), Sergej Newski (Russia), Stefan Prins (Belgium) and Alexander Radvilovich (Russia) will be among professors conducting the Composition Course.
