BF is committed to knocking down long-established institutional and financial barriers often associated with calls for scores. BF seeks to amplify (or “Underscore”) music by composers of varying backgrounds, styles, and career stages. Underscore is FREE and is open to ANYONE.
All selected composers (up to six!) will receive:
· A $500 travel stipend to be used towards attending the live performance in Atlanta
· A high-quality audio and video recording of the live performance
Additionally, BF is dedicated to forging long-term collaborations with composers. For this call, BF commits to partnering with at least one of the featured composers to secure funding for a new commission within three seasons.
