Arts Letters & Numbers is a place of creative urgency, a place to create new linkages and pathways of understanding in an interdisciplinary environment. It is a place where people come together to co-construct questions and works, of empathy, of ethics, of imagination.
The Residency is a space for individuals or groups to create new works, while developing meaningful relationships with other artists. Artists are encouraged to pursue their individual creative endeavor with the freedom to shape your workspace in the historic Faith Mills complex
When people are free to create and interact, new ways of thinking, expressing and contributing emerge.
This Winter, between December and February, we are offering a limited number of people the opportunity to come to our Averill Park campus, to live and independently pursue their creative works.
We recognize that after many months in isolation, people are in need of a change in context to connect to their creative endeavors. We call this program: Pilot Light, and it is an adapted version of our regular Residency program. The primary difference from our regular residency being the absence of programs, community events, communal dinners etc. Participating artists in this program will be offered private accommodation and studio space for a reduced price of $250 a week. During this time each person will be fully independent, yet co-exist in shared spaces.
Deadline 1 March 2021
