Maria Sadurdinova, piano. In 2012 graduated the Moscow State Conservatory, the Faculty of historical and contemporary performing arts (piano), principal teacher Mikhail Dubov, (teacher by harpsichord and hammerklavier Alexey Shevchenko). Also, completed postgraduate studies at the contemporary music department of the Moscow State Conservatory (2015). In 2016 defended postgraduate work «Henry Cowell and his book New Musical Resources». Internships: 2013 – participat of the «International Ensemble Modern Academy» at Klangspuren Schwaz, Austria. 2014 – participant of the ensemble «Bang on a Can» (USA), the Institut of Contemporary Academic Music in Moscow. 2018 – participant of the Darmstadt Summer Course (Piano studio by Nicolas Hodges and workshop Composing for piano by Brian Ferneyhough & Nicolas Hodges). From 2011 to 2017 was a participant and performer of the International Young Composers Academy in Tchaikovsky city, also as a soloist of MCME (Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble). Participant of festivals: «Russian-France-Musical Dialogue» (2013), Diagilev Festival (Perm) the Vladimir Jurowski’s festival «Another Space» (2016), and others. Winner of 15th Piano Competition «Piano in Jazz» (nomination of contemporary music), 2018. Rarticipant of 13th Concours International Piano d’Orleans, 2018. Cooperated with the ensembles: Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (MCME), «Opus-Post» (2013, 2018). «Questa Musica» (opera «Franziscus» by S.Newskij in Bolshoi Theatre, the project «Laboratory of modern opera», conductor Philipp Chizhevskiy, 2012). The first performer of several works by Russian and foreign composers (Yoav Levy, A.Khubeev, B.Filanovsky and others). Maria is a participant of projects of the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (MCME) from 2013 to the present.

The 12th St. Petersburg International New Music Festival, the largest annual forum of contemporary classical music in Russia and one of the most comprehensive platforms for global new music events. It will be held from May 23 to June 7, 2025. Organized by the St. Petersburg Contemporary Music Center ‘reMusik.org’ under the direction of the artistic director and prominent composer Mehdi Hosseini, the festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Government of St. Petersburg, and the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.

The two-week festival will showcase over 70 diverse artistic events. Concerts will take place at premier music venues across the beautiful city of St. Petersburg. In addition to the many concerts, the festival will also feature online and offline educational programs, presentations, round table discussions, lectures, composer readings, creative meetings, and educational programs called “Composer Courses” for young authors from around the world that are led by prominent teachers from around the globe. Additionally, there will be a laboratory dedicated to improvisational and experimental music.

The St. Petersburg International New Music Festival is a unique event within Russia’s musical culture. It encompasses various aspects of modern academic music, including experimental, electroacoustic, electronic music, multimedia projects, sound art, as well as’ free improvisation’. The presentation format is not limited to traditional academic concerts, but goes beyond it by incorporating diverse performances and experimental shows.
