Victoria Poleva (*1962)
after Friedrich Hölderlin
for voice, flute, cello and accordion
This piece is like a face turned inwards. One should sing and play here very reverently. The repeated letters in the soprano part should be perceived not as stuttering but as gentle touching in search of the right tone. It is like feeling for repercussive moments with the voice, search for overtone interaction between the voice and the instruments. It is like measured advancement in total darkness.
